Easy Homemade Deodorant

What are the Dangers of Using Corporate Industrially Produced Anti-Perspirants/ Deodorants?

Many industrially produced antiperspirants/deodorants contain large quantities of aluminium. In case you are unaware, aluminium is extremely toxic towards the body. And it has been attributed to a large variety of health issues including the dreaded breast cancer. Many studies studies conclude that most breast cancers develop in the upper outer part of the breast area – this is the area closest to the armpit itself, which is usually where we apply antiperspirants.

Industrially produced deodorants also contain considerable amounts of synthetic fragrances with all kinds of nasties added. Anything synthetic cannot possibly be good for a biological being such as ourselves. It is worth pointing out that if these chemicals cause irritations in certain individuals (which many do), they can cause terrible allergic reactions. These in turn could lead to a whole host of extremely bad and irritating skin conditions. There are also many rumours which link anti-perspirants to alzheimer’s disease. Aluminium-based compounds temporarily block sweat ducts which keep you from sweating. However, this is not good for the body, as we are designed to sweat.

How to Make a Safe, Cost Effective, and environmentally friendly antiperspirant/ deodorant.

Instructions:

  1. Mix equal parts baking soda and cocoa butter. I use about ½ cup baking soda and 1/2 cup cocoa butter (a great alternative is beeswax).

  2. Blend with coconut oil until moist and then store in a jar.

  3. Add a little essential oils for scent. Although I am a man, lavender is my personal favourite as I don’t have a problem smelling of flowers. (Men you could try adding peppermint, lemon, eucalyptus or even ginger scented essential oils if you prefer).

That’s all that is necessary with easy, simple to obtain ingredients. And it really does work. If you can’t obtain solid organic coconut oil, you can use liquid form, but put it in the fridge until it solidifies before use.

Chemical Free Easy Homemade Deodorant Recipe

This recipe will keep your armpits free from absorbing dangerously carcinogenic toxins due to added chemical additives and preservatives.  Companies are currently free to add these, and seem not to really care for your health, despite what they would have you believe. For the multi-national, multi-dollar corporations it’s about quantity not quality. They are mostly interested in shelf life (preservatives), and profit making rather than just to keep us from perspiring throughout the day.

Also many are guilty of testing their products on animals. These animals go through a considerable amount of horrific suffering just so that these money hungry corporations can get their products out there to the unsuspecting public. Don’t buy into their illusion. You could try this recipe and divest from them altogether. The more people that ‘cotton on’ to this way of keeping dry, the less these institutions have of causing or contributing to cancers in individuals.  These types of natural recipes save you money and lower the risk of disease whilst being friendly and harmless towards the environment in general.

Try this recipe, keep yourselves healthy, tell all your friends and family, and I promise you that you’ll never look back.
